Football Recap: Apex Friendship Falls Short of Rolesville in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Apex Friendship and Rolesville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Apex Friendship had to settle for second. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Patriots couldn't quite close it out.

Ethan McGarrigan threw for 48 yards on six of 28 attempts. Gavin Faulring was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Mallard rushed for 50 yards.

Leading Rolesville to victory were Amir Brown and Dylan 'Wytness' Martin. Brown rushed for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while 'Wytness' Martin punched in one rushing score. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

With the loss, Apex Friendship broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2. As for Rolesville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
