Soccer Recap: Marshfield Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Marshfield kept a clean sheet against Whitman-Hanson Regional on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Marshfield's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Whitman-Hanson Regional are ranked 184th).

Brady Hanson and Daragh Hume scored both of Marshfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Marshfield and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matchups. As for Whitman-Hanson Regional, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
