Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Day Beats Episcopal for Their Seventh Straight Win

Georgetown Day entered their tilt with Episcopal on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Maroon 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mighty Hoppers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-10, 25-16.

Alexa Telly paced Georgetown Day's offense, picking up nine kills. Telly got some help from Caycee Chhum and her 26 assists. Chhum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Georgetown Day's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Georgetown Day will challenge School Without Walls at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th. As for Episcopal, they will face off against Bishop O'Connell at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
