The Springstead Eagles came tearing into Monday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Wiregrass Ranch with a sharp 41-21 win. Springstead has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springstead to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Suarez, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Suarez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. J'ziyah Munford was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
Springstead's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
