Taber Jordan ran for two touchdowns and
Austin Carrera added two as well as
Plainview (Ardmore, Okla.) defeated
Purcell (Okla.) 29-6 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Jordan in the first quarter, the Indians were up 20-4 at the half.
Plainview grew its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. The Ardmore school scored two times in the third, including once on an Carrera touchdown run.
The Indians had given up an average of 8.2 points prior to the contest.
Plainview also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-7.
The loss comes after Purcell defeated Madill 44-0 last week. The loss snapped Purcell's three-game winning streak.
Plainview (6-0) will play a 3A District 4 game against Atoka next week, while Purcell (4-2) will take on Dickson also in a 3A District 4 game.
