Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Virginia High). They enjoyed a cozy 82-68 win over the John Battle Trojans on Monday. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Trojans are ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Virginia High's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for John Battle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Virginia High wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-30 win against Marion on the 14th. John Battle has also already played their next game (against Central Wise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
