Softball Recap: Cosby Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Cosby's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes on Friday. The loss leaves the Eagles still looking for their first win of the season.

Cosby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cosby will welcome Monterey at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Monterey's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Cosby's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson County at 5:30 p.m. on April 1.
