Volleyball Recap: Elkhorn Gets the Win

Elkhorn hadn't done well against Waterford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Elks skirted past the Wolverines 2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Elkhorn got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 15-7.

Hailey Connelly paced Elkhorn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Connelly got some help from Markie Pedersen and her 14 assists. Lyla Ranson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Elkhorn's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-11. As for Waterford, their loss dropped their record down to 9-22.

Elkhorn has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Beloit Memorial on the 18th. As for Waterford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Wilmot on the 18th.
