Ferndale hadn't beaten Greater Johnstown on the road since September 12, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Yellow Jackets blew past the Trojans 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Ferndale won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Caitlyn McKendree and Chloa Stern, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Lydia Hyland and her 21 assists. Finally, Gracie Parrondo kept Ferndale's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

With the victory, Ferndale broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Greater Johnstown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
