Game recap

In spite of trailing Roy (Utah) 21 points, Sky View (Smithfield, Utah) surged back to grab a 24-21 win over Roy (Utah) Saturday.

The Royals pulled ahead on a Tyler Skidmore touchdown pass to Justin Weaver, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-0. The Bobcats scored the winning points with a field goal by Brandon Moore that came in the fourth quarter.

Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Sky View still trailed by 7 points going into the fourth quarter. But 10 points in the fourth helped SV pull out the victory.

The Smithfield school didn't take the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when Moore kicked a field goal.

Roy's Garrett Bowman played well. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown.

Daniel Lemon stood out for the Bobcats in the win. He caught two touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.

When the two teams played each other last season, Sky View came away with a 30-6 victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for Roy, which notched a 28-21 victory over Bonneville in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for SV, which lost to Logan last week, 52-17.

Roy (5-3) will play a 4A Region 5 game against Mountain Crest next week, while Sky View (3-5) will take on Bonneville also in a 4A Region 5 game.
