Basketball Recap: Palo Duro Comes Up Short

Palo Duro was the 79-74 winner over Trinity Christian when they last played one another back in November of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Dons took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Wednesday. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Cooper went supernova For Trinity Christian., dropping a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. Cooper is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jet Naegele, who posted 13 points and eight assists.

Palo Duro's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Trinity Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Palo Duro will be taking part in a tournament against Lamar at 3:00 p.m. on December 5. As for Trinity Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Frenship at 8:00 p.m.
