There's no place like home for Lawrence County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Marshall County Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Wildcats have won eight matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Truitt Kidd tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lawrence County got a massive performance out of Alex Bedford, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Bedford is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 4-1 (and 9-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Emerson, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.
Lawrence County now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Marshall County, they dropped their record down to 8-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As for Marshall County, they will head out to challenge Columbia Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
