Softball Recap: Lafayette Christian Academy Gets the Win

While Lafayette Christian Academy's win against Lake Arthur wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lafayette Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Lake Arthur 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since March 9, 2024.

The victory snapped Lafayette Christian Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record. As for Lake Arthur, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette Christian Academy will face off against Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.17 runs per game on average), something Lafayette Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Arthur, they will challenge Midland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
