Basketball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Homestead was the 55-51 winner over Varela when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos took a 69-54 bruising from the Vipers on Tuesday. The game marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Homestead lost, don't look at Jamari Tyson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Tyson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Benjamin, who posted 14 points.

Homestead now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Varela, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Homestead will face off against Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos will be up against the Barracudas' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Varela, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
