Basketball Recap: Notasulga Has No Trouble Against Verbena

Notasulga won the last time they faced Verbena and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Notasulga Blue Devils were the clear victor by a 62-40 margin over the Verbena Red Devils.

Verbena lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Short, who posted eight points. Short has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Kelley, who scored six points.

Notasulga's record is now 5-9. As for Verbena, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Notasulga and Autaugaville will face off at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Verbena, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Autauga Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
