Baseball Recap: Crittenden County Comes Up Short

Crittenden County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Heritage Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 9-8. The Rockets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Chase Conyer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Asa McCord, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Crittenden County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Heritage Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-14 record.

Looking ahead, Crittenden County will take on Ballard Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heritage Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
