Volleyball Recap: Upson-Lee Knights vs. St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings
Upson-Lee lost against St. Anne-Pacelli back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: St. Anne-Pacelli scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17.
Amiya Cromer paced Upson-Lee's offense, picking up three kills. Cromer got some help from Kaylin Gresham and her three assists.
Among those leading the charge was Anna Do, who had 25 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 20 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.
Upson-Lee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the win (which was their seventh in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
Upson-Lee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Pike County on the 7th. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will take on South Effingham in a tournament on Saturday.
