The Emerson Mavericks will take on the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Emerson will be strutting in after a win while Lebanon Trail will be coming in after a loss.
On Friday, Emerson was able to grind out a solid victory over Independence, taking the game 7-2. The win continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.
Madison Fletcher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Savannah Carleton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amilee Stapp, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Lebanon Trail was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Frisco by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trail Blazers have suffered against the Raccoons since April 16, 2021.
Kendall Dreary made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Valentina Quinones also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Emerson's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Lebanon Trail, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Emerson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Lebanon Trail struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
