Baseball Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

Skyview fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Southridge on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Suns by a score of 4-3.

Skyview got a good showing from Dylan Goetz, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Skyview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jase Wong, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southridge, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Skyview is taking a road trip to face off against Mark Morris at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bonney Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
