Recap: Coosa Valley Academy Rebels vs. Southern Academy Cougars
After flying high against the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals last Friday, The Coosa Valley Academy Rebels came back down to earth. The game between Coosa Valley Academy and Southern Academy wasn't particularly close, with Coosa Valley Academy falling 42-27. Coosa Valley Academy has struggled against Southern Academy recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
McGuire Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southern Academy, rushing for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Caden Skelton and his 110 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Southern Academy's win.
Coosa Valley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southern Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
