It's playoff time, and Princeton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Goldsboro Cougars 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 15th.

Chloe Herring spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Sinclair, who went 2-for-4 with three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

With the win, Princeton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12. As for Goldsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

As of now, neither Princeton nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
