 Newark stacked  a  14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hiawatha Hawks  a   23-0 shutout. Newark's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  Dani Peshia was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.  Stephanie Snyder was another key contributor,  going 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple.
 The  victory (which was Newark's sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-2. As for Hiawatha, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Serena the next time they take the field. Hiawatha will head out to face Serena at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while Newark will head out to face them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
