Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After only 27 points in their last game, St. Joseph Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against Mound City on Friday. The St. Joseph Christian Lions walked away with a 60-47 win over the Mound City Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

St. Joseph Christian moved to 12-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mound City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the St. Joseph Christian Lions challenge the North Platte Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Platte will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something St. Joseph Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mound City, they will venture away from home to challenge DeKalb at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
