Soccer Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, River Valley was not quite Cristo Rey's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cristo Rey. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Cristo Rey this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-2 defeat back in January.

River Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's still a better percentage than their 2-11 record this season. Cristo Rey's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.

River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cristo Rey, they have already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Calvin Christian on the 18th.
