After a string of six wins, Teutopolis's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians. The contest marked the Wooden Shoes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sophia Hoffmann continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carlyle, putting up 16 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacie Persing, who posted ten points.

Teutopolis' loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Carlyle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teutopolis will face off against Civic Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Teutopolis is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Civic Memorial a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Carlyle, they will challenge Nashville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Carlyle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.
