Softball Recap: Westminster Christian Triumphs

On Thursday, the Westminster Christian Warriors were able to grind out a solid victory over the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes, taking the game 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Kaley Dyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits.

At the plate, Westminster Christian got a massive performance out of Jasmine Armenteros, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Perez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Armenteros wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Westminster Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Westminster Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pompano Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Westminster Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Palmetto at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pompano Beach, they will head out to challenge Immokalee at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
