Basketball Game Preview: Sickles Gryphons vs. Sunlake Seahawks

The Sickles Gryphons will square off against the Sunlake Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Sickles is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Steinbrenner by a score of 60-51.

Sickles' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadyn Watts, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 boards. Watts' evening made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Sharpe, who posted 17 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.

Sickles was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steinbrenner only racked up six assists.

Meanwhile, Sunlake narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mitchell 63-61.

Sickles' victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Sunlake, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
