Silver Lake saw some tournament action on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Valley Falls Dragons with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Valley Falls, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Silver Lake and Valley Falls should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Eagles will take on Hiawatha at 9:00 a.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (45 vs. 158). Meanwhile, Valley Falls (ranked eighth) will meet Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] (ranked 60th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
