Football Recap: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Central Noble Cougars

Prairie Heights extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They fell 35-26 to the Central Noble Cougars. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Prairie Heights didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of CONNOR SIZEMORE and KIEGEN TSCHANNEN.

Central Noble's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

A big part of Central Noble's victory came down to the chemistry between Treyton Fletcher and his top target Nick Freeman. Fletcher threw for 492 yards and four TDs while Freeman picked up 213 receiving yards and a pair of scores. With that strong performance, Freeman is now averaging an impressive 107.3 receiving yards per game. Another player making a difference was Porter Kleeberg, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one touchdown.
