Volleyball Recap: Appleton East Gets the Win

The Appleton East Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Madison Memorial Spartans 2-1.

Appleton East's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Madison Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.

Appleton East will square off against Kimberly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison Memorial, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Kenosha Tremper on the 18th.
