Volleyball Recap: Mater Academy East Las Vegas Comes Up Short

Mater Academy East Las Vegas extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 11-16. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clark Chargers. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

As for Clark, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 8th.

Leading Clark to victory were Reina Bungay and Jodie Bengson. Bungay had eight digs and two aces, while Bengson had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Bengson has posted since back in August.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas has already played their next contest (against Mojave), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Del Sol on the 11th.
