Basketball Recap: Rhode Island School for the Deaf Falls Short of Highlander Charter in the Playoffs

Rhode Island School for the Deaf and Highlander Charter squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Rhode Island School for the Deaf had to settle for second. They took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highlander Charter. Rhode Island School for the Deaf was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Highlander Charter earlier this season, when they won 26-22.

Rhode Island School for the Deaf's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jinelly De'Jesus, who posted four points along with 16 boards and three steals, and Ady Salazar, who put up. Those 16 rebounds gave De'Jesus a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Rhode Island School for the Deaf and nudges their season record down to 11-10. As for Highlander Charter, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

As of now, neither Rhode Island School for the Deaf nor Highlander Charter have any future games scheduled.
