Football Game Preview: Lee County Yellow Jackets vs. Union Pines Vikings + How To Watch

Lee County has won four straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Union Pines has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Yellow Jackets will host the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Lee County strolled past Harnett Central with points to spare, taking the game 33-19.

The critical scores for Lee County came from Cody Graham, Damien Prosser, Destry Smith, and Javonte Randall.

Lee County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union Pines). They breezed past Triton to the tune of 56-0 on Friday. The Vikings' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Union Pines' win came from a few key players Lee County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Adrian Colon, who rushed for 138 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Tyler Thomas, who rushed for 106 yards and two scores.

Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Lee County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Lee County and Union Pines were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but Lee County came up empty-handed after a 7-6 defeat.
