Recap: Millersburg Indians vs. Hanover Nighthawks

The Millersburg Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 62-39 defeat at the hands of Hanover. Millersburg lost against Hanover in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 67-51 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Millersburg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kamdyn Heintzelman. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with four steals. The contest was Heintzelman's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Even though they lost, Millersburg were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Millersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hanover, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Millersburg will head out on the road to face off against Halifax at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Halifax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Millersburg in Pennsylvania (Halifax is ranked 255th, while Millersburg is ranked 537th). Hanover won't have much time to rest: their next match is against York County Tech at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
