Recap: GEO Next Generation Tigers vs. Capitol Lions
The GEO Next Generation Tigers entered their tilt with the Capitol Lions with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, GEO Next Generation made off with a 30-29 victory over Capitol.
GEO Next Generation's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khloe Caines, who scored a point along with 17 rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimberly Jack, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
GEO Next Generation's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. As for Capitol, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
GEO Next Generation won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Live Oak at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Live Oak presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than GEO Next Generation in Louisiana (Live Oak is ranked 80th, while GEO Next Generation is ranked 237th). As for Capitol, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plaquemine at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
