Basketball Game Preview: Sterling Heights Stallions vs. Clintondale Dragons

The Sterling Heights Stallions will venture away from home to challenge the Clintondale Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row dating back to last season, Sterling Heights turned things around against Eastpointe two weeks ago. They came out on top against the Shamrocks by a score of 63-56.

Meanwhile, everything went Clintondale's way against Cardinal Mooney Catholic last Saturday as Clintondale made off with a 61-39 win. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Sterling Heights' victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Clintondale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Sterling Heights might still be hurting after the 82-57 loss they got from Clintondale when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Sterling Heights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
