Baseball Preview: Greater Vision Academy Lions vs. North Hills Christian Eagles

The Greater Vision Academy Lions will head out on the road to square off against the North Hills Christian Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Greater Vision Academy's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 14-0 walloping at the hands of Burlington Christian Academy on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, Greater Vision Academy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, North Hills Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 19-7 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win North Hills Christian has managed all season.

Chris Barringer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned run or hits (he also only allowed one walk). Greater Vision Academy has fallen quite a ways from their 8-4 record last season and are now at 2-5. As for North Hills Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
