Cox Mill put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the West Cabarrus Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Cox Mill was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

Leading Cox Mill to victory were Romey Gaeta and Isa Gaeta. Romey had 14 assists and six digs, while Isa had six digs and four aces. Romey has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last three times she's played. Amali Archie also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Cox Mill was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why West Cabarrus lost, don't look at Madison McIntyre. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs, seven kills, and three aces.

Cox Mill's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for West Cabarrus, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Cox Mill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against A.L. Brown on the 11th. As for West Cabarrus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Central Cabarrus on the 11th.
