The Butler Bears will square off against the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Butler took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Miami get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kylee Dubray was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Butler got a massive performance out of Kadyn Cook, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those RBI marked the first that Cook brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hudson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Butler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .696. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, El Dorado Springs made easy work of Adrian on Monday and carried off an 18-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Like Butler, El Dorado Springs also got a great game from a two-way player: Lacyn Perrodin. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Perrodin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Brooke Coale was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Tayah Garringer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Butler pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for El Dorado Springs, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Butler has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like El Dorado Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
