Baseball Game Preview: Kickapoo Chiefs vs. Hickman Kewpies

The Kickapoo Chiefs are taking a road trip to challenge the Hickman Kewpies at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Kickapoo fell victim to Har-Ber and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Hickman came out on top against Hannibal on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Kewpies walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Pirates. The win continues a trend for the Kewpies in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Hickman's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Kickapoo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Kickapoo came up short against Hickman when the teams last played back in April of 2021, falling 8-3. Can the Chiefs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
