Basketball Recap: Mt. Ellis Academy Takes a Loss

Mt. Ellis Academy lost against Billings Christian last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Billings Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Silas Grimstad led the charge by dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Gabe Jones was another key player, putting up 14 points and six assists.

Mt. Ellis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Billings Christian, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mt. Ellis Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Petra Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Billings Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against St. Andrew at 12:30 p.m.
