Highland Park lost against New Trier back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Giants took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trevians. The Giants' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Marin Killeen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for New Trier, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Highland Park has already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Zion-Benton on the 9th. As for New Trier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Niles North on the 10th.
