Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen West Takes a Loss

After flying high against University School last Tuesday, Morristown-Hamblen West came back down to earth. The Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans fell 10-6 to the Dobyns-Bennett Indians on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost five in a row.

Charles Dewald made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Charles Ramsey also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Morristown-Hamblen West's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morristown-Hamblen West will welcome Elizabethton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Morristown-Hamblen West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Dobyns-Bennett, they will take on Abingdon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
