Basketball Recap: Babylon Panthers vs. Mattituck Tuckers
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Babylon Panthers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-42 win over Mattituck. The win made it back-to-back wins for Babylon.
Babylon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Delaney Busch out in front who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Busch has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Logue-boyd, who scored 11 points.
Babylon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Mattituck, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Babylon will take on the Islanders at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelter Island comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Mattituck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
