Volleyball Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short on the Road Against Hendersonville

East Henderson had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hendersonville Bearcats on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

East Henderson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Averie Russell was nothing short of spectacular for Hendersonville: she had 27 digs and three aces.

Looking ahead, Hendersonville will head out to challenge T.C. Roberson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Henderson will be paying especially close attention to the Bearcats' match: after the Bearcats face off against Asheville Christian Academy, they'll take on East Henderson again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
