Volleyball Recap: Gulfport Admirals vs. Brandon Bulldogs

Gulfport and Brandon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gulfport had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Admirals have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Gulfport took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-15.

Harper Keogh paced Gulfport's offense, picking up seven kills. Keogh got some help from Lily Trosclair and her 12 assists. Kyla Foxx controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brandon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lynnon Rhodes, who had 15 digs and three assists. Rhodes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Gulfport's loss dropped their record down to 26-15. As for Brandon, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-8.

Gulfport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brandon, they will welcome Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
