Schroon Lake entered their tilt with Fort Ann on Monday with seven consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Fort Ann Cardinals with a sharp  56-36 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Despite the loss, Fort Ann still got an impressive performance from   Kadence Cutter, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 12  rebounds. Cutter is becoming a predictor of Fort Ann's success: when he posts  at  least eight  boards the team is 4-2 (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Javier Hernandez, who  posted 11  points.
Schroon Lake has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record  this season. As for Fort Ann, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schroon Lake will head out to  square off against Lake Placid  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Fort Ann, they will venture away from home to  challenge Warrensburg  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Fort Ann is facing Warrensburg at the right time seeing as Warrensburg is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
