Football Recap: Clear Brook Takes a Loss

Clear Brook extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 57-21 defeat at the hands of the Clear Springs Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 42-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Clear Springs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Daran Bolden was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Sean Carter also helped with two TDs in total.

Coming up, Clear Brook will welcome Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Gators have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Clear Springs, they will take on Clear Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
