Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask James F. Byrnes). They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Gaffney Indians on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Jaxson Camp made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because James F. Byrnes is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Camp was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Jake Moss and Connor Crenshaw did most of the damage at the plate: Moss scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Crenshaw scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
