Cross County had won five straight games and Langdon Arbuck did his part to make it six on Friday. The Cross County Cougars strolled past the David City Scouts with points to spare, taking the game 44-28 thanks in part to Arbuck, who went 7 for 11 en route to 17 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why David City lost, don't look at Cameron Hlavac. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Chase Kuhlman also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Cross County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for David City, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Cross County will square off against Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross County is facing Dorchester at the right time seeing as Dorchester is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for David City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-37 loss against Fillmore Central on the 18th.
